Doug Saathoff

Doug Saathoff is the Chief Financial Officer for Brass, where he has responsibility for ensuring that the Company has the proper processes and resources in place to support the Company’s growth goals and maximize Company and investor returns.  Doug has oversight over accounting, finance, human resources and information technology.

Doug is a founding partner of Digital Marketing Group LLC, where he co-created the PocketFunnelTM digital marketing platform, and is also a founding partner of Video River Networks, a producer and seller of IPTV equipment for large hotels, casinos and the US Government.  Doug has hands-on executive level experience with both privately and publicly held growth-stage companies, where he has been responsible for financial planning, fundraising and financial reporting as well as supervising day-to-day operating and development activities.

Doug graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Accounting and started his professional career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co, where he passed the CPA exam.  He then entered private industry where he worked for U.S Long Distance Corp. as their corporate controller and financial reporting manager.  He later joined ATSI Communications as their initial Chief Financial Officer.   During Doug’s tenure, ATSI moved from the Canadian OTC market to the U.S. OTC market and eventually to a listing on the American Stock Exchange. ATSI grew from a San Antonio-based startup with 11 employees to an international operation with 500+ employees and operations in the U.S., Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala and El Salvador with annual revenues in excess of $60 million. He was instrumental in the acquisition of subsidiaries and customer bases, as well as the incorporation and eventual divestiture of GlobalSCAPE.  Doug then became the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Nighthawk Systems, Inc. While at Nighthawk, he spearheaded revenue growth of 500% and established a long-term funding relationship with a $100 million investment fund. Nighthawk became the fund’s top performing portfolio company.
